DANCING UPDATE!
We still are not able to get together for a square dance but that does not mean we can’t get together at all. Many people are getting together virtually using their computers and phones via apps like ZOOM. ZOOM is a great way to get together to catch up, or even to dance. Check out this example of a virtual square dance. Virtual Square Dance – Tip 3 of 3. You can keep up with future virtual square dances on the following Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/VirtualSquareDances.
Remember, if you need any assistance or hear of any of our members becoming ill or having problems, please don’t hesitate to let us know! Our phone number is 916-573-0228. And if you haven’t heard, the most recent guidance from the Placer County Health Officer is to wear a cloth face covering if you go out, not so much for your protection, but for the protection of others. They have found that you can spread the virus before you have any symptoms. Stay home and stay safe!
ALTERNATIVES FOR SQUARE DANCING AT HOME!
While we continue to shelter at home there are a few unique ways we can do some square dancing at home. Check out the following links and let us know what you think.
- Virtual Square Dance with Michael Dusoe
- Square Dance for One Couple with Buddy Weaver

OVERALLS ANNIVERSARY DANCE!
We have been looking forward our 41st anniversary dance for a long time. We held out as long as we could hoping the COVID-19 situation would improve enough to allow us to dance. Things seemed to be heading in the right direction until last week.
After meeting with the hall board members last week, it became clear that the hall will not be open again any time soon. The board discussed the situation and we decided it was time for make a decision. We regret that we have decided to cancel our 41st anniversary square dance. We really hope to see you in a square soon. Until then, stay safe.
2020 HARVEST HOEDOWN!
I am SAD to announce that the 2020 Harvest Hoedown, along with all related activities, has been officially canceled. It was a hard decision to make but with all the constant changes and the restriction it became necessary.
All current registrations will be automatically rolled over to the 2021 Harvest Hoedown. If, for any reason, you are not able to make it to the 2021 Harvest Hoedown you may request a full refund. To request a full refund send an email to harvestHoedown@ASDSC.org.
I hope and Pray that you are all safe and healthy. I look forward to 2021 and HOPEFULLY we can all return to dancing
Thank You
