Overalls Weekly – 05/21/2020
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTT!
Join me is saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our wonderful caller and friend, Scott Pearce! Scott’s birthday is this Saturday, May 23rd.
We are so fortunate to have Scott as our caller. His choreography is both challenging and fun. He is such a great teacher and he has the patience of a saint. Scott is more that our caller, he is our friend. His input on club operations have been of great value to us as we continue to try to grow our club. Thank you Scott!
In the last week we have seen a lot of local businesses opening up with restrictions resulting from COVID-19. It is so nice to be able to sit down at a restaurant and have a meal with friends. However, we have not received anything new from Placer County regarding the
Veteran’s Memorial Hall in Roseville. At this time they have canceled all existing reservations and are not taking any new reservations until further notice. It looks like we will not be dancing any time soon. Be sure to keep in touch to receive the latest information.
In the meantime, if you need any assistance or hear of any of our members becoming ill or having problems, please don’t hesitate to let us know! Our phone number is 916-573-0228. And if you haven’t heard, the most recent guidance from the Placer County Health Officer is to wear a cloth face covering if you go out, not so much for your protection, but for the protection of others. They have found that you can spread the virus before you have any symptoms. Stay home and stay safe!

- Would we dance wearing masks & gloves until a vaccine is widely available?
- Masks, required, no shared food or drink.
- The rate of infection/reinfection, wider availability of hand sanitizer, face masks, etc
- If we know the group and feel safe, then we would consider it. Masks and hand sanitizer recommended.
- Having kids in school that come dancing. I need to be sure they do not pick it up before coming back. So I am actually between when it is open and when it is safe.
