DANCING UPDATE!

We trust and pray that you are all doing well.  We miss all of you and are looking forward to seeing you all again soon.  It is nice to see some easing of the stay-at-home order happening around us.  Some restaurants are beginning to open and the Galleria in Roseville will be opening soon.  Even though Roseville is beginning to open up again we received an email from Placer County informing us that they are not accepting new reservations for the Veteran’s Memorial Hall in Roseville and are canceling all existing reservations until further notice.  It looks like we will not be dancing any time soon. Be sure to keep in touch to receive the latest information.

In the meantime, if you need any assistance or hear of any of our members becoming ill or having problems, please don’t hesitate to let us know! Our phone number is 916-573-0228. And if you haven’t heard, the most recent guidance from the Placer County Health Officer is to wear a cloth face covering if you go out, not so much for your protection, but for the protection of others. They have found that you can spread the virus before you have any symptoms. Stay home and stay safe!

ASDSC RETURNING TO DANCING SURVEY

When do you plan to start square dancing again?
198 responses

  • 91 (46%) I will start dancing as soon as the halls are opened. Just tell me when and where and I will be there!
  • 44 (22.2%) I really want to start dancing again but I will wait until there is a vaccine available for COVID-19.
  • 2 (1%) I have decided to hang up my dancing shoes. My dancing days are over.
  • 61 (30.8%) Other

We are interested in knowing if there are any other restrictions and/or
objections that would need to be considered for you to dance again.

  • With precautions.
  • Given that it will be a long time before a vaccine will be available, we would want to see if the infection rate stays down after things are opened up before we would feel comfortable to return to dancing.
  • Lots of hand sanitizer.
  • When scientific data shows that is safe, or safe methods are available for close/somewhat intimate/ and physical contact. Do not overestimate the need for revenue over safety of dancers.

For a complete list of the input we have received so far click Survey Results.

The survey is still open so, if you have not responded yet there is still time. Please take a moment to complete a short survey by clicking on the link below.  https://forms.gle/1aZfAizJEP2mCnug7
