Square Dancing is friendship set to music This great activity is drug and alcohol free, family friendly, and great exercise for the mind and body!
No partner is necessary; we welcome couples, families, and singles. Dress is casual!
Come and find out how to laugh away your stress and make wonderful lifelong friends! If you are new to Square Dancing, you are welcome to attend our New Dancer Workshops.

Mainstream dancing from 7:30-9:00

SQUARE DANCING BENEFITS
Square dancing provides more than the daily dose of heart and bone healthy physical activity, it also keeps the mind sharp, potentially staving off memory loss, according to experts. The companionship offered is an antidote to depression and loneliness.
IF YOU CAN WALK, YOU CAN SQUARE DANCE!
Square dancing is considered a type of cross training, which uses most of the major muscle groups. It can be high or low impact, depending on your own abilities!
SOCIAL FORM OF EXERCISE
One of the primary benefits is the social interaction between people. Many activities today are more individual, but square dancing involves 7 other people in a coordinated effort to choreograph the moves together! There is a lot of hand touching, which according to health experts helps reduce depression and enhance your immune system!
You will be surprised at the music used in modern square dancing, which is hipper than you think. Lady Gaga, Beatles, Elvis, Creedence Clearwater, you name it and the caller incorporates his or her calls to the music of their choice. Every caller is different, which makes it even more exciting!
